Marasca Khao Yai, an intimate luxury countryside retreat with only 18 unique units, celebrates its 1st anniversary with a blend of opulence and sustainability. As part of the celebration, Marasca showcases sustainable Thai produce, promoting locally grown ingredients and strengthening the bond between food producers and consumers.The festivities commence with an eco-conscious Farmer’s Market, taking place every weekend from 4 pm to 6 pm, beginning on 14th November and culminating on 14th December 2023. These weekends, including 18th-19th, 25th-26th November, 2nd-3rd and 9th-10th December, underscore Marasca Khao Yai’s deep-rooted connections within the local Khao Yai community. For this special occasion, Marasca Khao Yai has partnered with esteemed local producers:

Additionally, two enriching workshops will be held:
- Tie-Dye Workshop: Discover the art of tie-dye with this unique workshop that uses natural materials and techniques from our local partner, Wat Khao Chan Ngam. Prices start from only THB 150++ per person. This workshop showcases Khao Chan Ngam natural clay, a traditional material that enhances the tie-dyeing process with an earthy and organic touch. Participating in this workshop not only allows guests to create their own clothing items but also contributes to the preservation of local culture and heritage.
- Tree Pots Painting: Unleash your creativity by joining our painting workshop to decorate planters from “Ban Dan Kwien Village,” a renowned local pottery hub in the neighborhood. Prices start from only THB 250++ per person. Ban Dan Kwien is famous for its high-quality natural clay sourced from the Mun River, the primary river in the Northeast region of Thailand. This clay is not only easy to shape but also remarkably strong and durable.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, Marasca Khao Yai presents a first-of-its-kind Pop-Up Dinner on Saturday 18th November 2023. This culinary fusion, titled “Izakaya Meets Farm-to-Table,” showcases the renowned Chef Chet Adkins from JUA, Bangkok’s favourite Yakitory destination. Chef Chet Adkins will collaborate with Chef Satit (Nui) Rodkaew, Head Chef of Marasca Khao Yai, to craft an unforgettable dining experience.
Revel in a culinary delight starting at 6:00 pm at Marasca Khao Yai’s Tree Top tea house | farmer’s café, all while overlooking breath-taking scenery. Enjoy a 5-course dinner featuring local ingredients, including:
- Appetizer: Reef Squid Crispy Rice with umami oil, finger lime, prik ginda, and kaiware.
- Salad: Baby Local Heirloom Tomato Salad with Chevre, hom mali vinaigrette, and shiso pesto.
- BBQ & Skewers Platter: Grilled Jumbo River Prawn (durian butter or garlic butter), Pork Belly Skewer (spicy chili sauce, scallion slaw, sesame vinaigrette), Hot Rock Thai Wagyu (miso-plum sauce, mango chutney, local tsukemono), and Thai Bay Skewer (Squid / Mussel / White Prawn, passion fruit emulsion, grilled marinated Khao Yai melon, Isaan house blend spice).
- Main Course Options: Scarlet Grouper Linguini (baby spinach, portobello, fresh herb gremolata), Red Wine Braised Thai Wagyu Short Rib (calamansi marinated grapes, purple asparagus, roasted root vegetable), or Roasted “Benja” Chicken (spicy longan tamarind jus, ginger torch-butterfly pea, coconut sticky rice, deconstructed papaya salad).
- Dessert: Deconstruct Khaoyai Meringue with sable tart, mulberry & strawberry curd, toasted meringue crisps, lemon, and wild honey gel.
- Petit Fours: mango macaron, Khao Yai melon choux, mulberry bon bon, Araksa earl gray cookie.
